A Certificate of Deposit (CD) Ladder is a disciplined cash management strategy where you divide a sum of capital into equal tranches across certificates with staggered maturity dates (e.g., 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, 4-year, and 5-year CDs). This structure captures higher long-term interest rates while ensuring a portion of your money matures every few months, providing liquidity without early withdrawal penalties.
